Hvorfor ikke destillere det? Å hvilken effekt vil destillering gi? Fant noe på erowid om dette.
Det står:
"........It must then be distilled. Inferior recipes skip this step, but what they produce is not worthy to be called absinthe.

Vil "....but what they produce is not worthy to be called absinthe.
......" si at virkningene (dvs hallisene) ikke vil være like framtredende, eller går det på smak?
